Weather Prediction the Arthritic Way

When grandma used to predict the weather from how her bad hip felt she wasn't just lucky.  A 2007 Tufts University study proved that those with arthritis are greatly affected by weather changes.  Scientifically they proved that for every 10 degree change in temperature arthritic folks had an incremental degree of pain.

Texas just had a major temperature swing...Friday's high was 93 and Saturday's low was 48.  The picture of my hand this morning tells it all.  Just remember it's not just my hand...I just can't take a picture of my spine.

Barometer App Helps

The app store as a very simple app called Barometer that can help you find your barometric comfort zones.  I have found that pressures above 1022 hpa or below 1005 hpa make me ache.

Obviously you can't change the pressure you are experiencing but this little tool can help you plan your day to minimize pain and maximize energy.
